Is Jarrod & Rawlins a pub, restaurant, café or delicatessen?
Well actually a little of all four in the case of most of their branches, and therein lies part of the reason for the company’s success. The company has given each outlet the ability to be something of up to all four themes, the blend of which develops according to the location, and time of the day and week.
In an almost evolutionary manner, Jarrod and Rawlins outlets seem to individually adapt to satisfy the needs of the customers particular to each location. This flexibility is also evidently applied successfully too, when it comes to the sizes, varieties and themes of the menus the outlets offer to customers.

The origins of the company actually date back to a conversation in 2004 between two friends by the names of Jarrod Chek and Denis Rawlins. Whilst socializing, sharing a drink together one evening, the two began to speculate upon the idea of going into a joint venture business; being as they were already working in what seemed to be complimentary fields.
One potential partner was working in the manufacture of meat products, and the other marketing imported fine wines. Food and wine, natural partners, and so shortly after this first speculative conversation, the company of Jarrod & Rawlins purveyors of fine food and wine, was formed and the first outlet in Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur opened for business.
Owing to the essentials; good products, right pricing and a strong image, success duly followed, with the 6th outlet soon to be opened in the Kuala Lumpur/ Petaling Jaya area, and plans to extend the brand outside the Klang Valley in the near future.
Your local Jarrod and Rawlins is actually an element or focus point of the community, your community. And now to extend that community, to further strengthen and support that community, the Jarrod and Rawlins BLT takes a bow and makes its debut.
The BLT ? Apart from being the old favourite bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, BLT is the J & R Bulletin. In it you will find some news, some gossip, what’s on, what’s coming, useful snippets of information, hopefully a little info for everyone, from foodie, to sportsman, to family man, woman and children too!
Though KL is not the centre of the universe, there is plenty happening here, and The BLT intends to become a good place where you may get to hear about things before they happen!
